WWE Wrestlemania 28 XXVIII Betting Tips

It is time once again for the best WWE event of the year: Wrestlemania. This is the biggest Wrestlemania in years with the show being headlined by the long awaited return of The Rock taking on John Cena. Many people thought that The Rock would never come back to wrestling so this should be a big crossover event that will have a lot of eyeballs on it. Because it will have so many eyeballs on it, sportsbooks have released some betting odds for the event.

The Rock vs John Cena isn’t the only match on this card, there is also a big match between The Undertaker and Triple H which is being called the “End of an Era”, a WWE title match between CM Punk and Chris Jericho and a World Heavyweight title match with Sheamus and Daniel Bryan. As well as undercard matches including Randy Orton vs. Kane.

But make no mistake about it, The Rock vs. John Cena is the match that everyone’s eyes will be on. John Cena is a -200 favorite with The Rock coming in as an undedog at +150. This would seemingly mean that The Rock is one and done which would make a lot of sense with his movie career going so well, but much has been made about how he’s “home” now and how much fun he’s having so anything could happen. Either way, it will be fascinating to watch this gargantuan match up.

  • WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (-140) vs. The Big Show (EVEN)

  • WWE Championship Match: CM Punk (-200) vs. Chris Jericho (+150)

Wrestlemania 28 Betting Tips & Analysis:

Bookmakers have their assumptions on this show, but they have left plenty of room for us to make some money. We’ll now take a closer look at the odds and see if we can find some value.

Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos (-300) vs. Beth Phoenix & Eve (+200): This match was seemingly put together to get Maria Menounos on E! and Extra and all those other TV shows. Of course, she’s going to win. Bet Kelly Kelly & Maria Menounos.

Randy Orton (-500) vs. Kane (+300): Randy Orton probably deserves better than this match and because of that he’s definitely winning it.

Team Johnny (-300) vs Team Teddy (+200): Team Johnny is a big favorite for a reason: Teddy Long being in charge of everything is boring. That being said, there is enough chance that this one goes either way that I’m staying away from it.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (-140) vs. The Big Show (EVEN): Rhodes being a slight favorite in this one is kind of a surprise. Sure, he’s the champion and he’s looked good over the past couple of months, but this is The Big Show we’re talking about. On a show that will have lots of fans who haven’t watched in years watching, you’d think the giant guy would get a win over the skinny guy. Bet The Big Show.

World Heavyweight Championship Match:Sheamus (-250): vs Daniel Bryan (+170): Daniel Bryan’s title reign seems like an accident. He doesn’t look like a WWE champion usually looks while Sheamus looks exactly like you would expect one to look. Unless something crazy happens, Sheamus is winning this one.

WWE Championship Match: CM Punk (-200) vs. Chris Jericho (+150): CM Punk has been the star of WWE for the past few months and Chris Jericho is making his return here. You could make an argument that Chris Jericho is coming back to win the title, but I don’t think that’s the case. CM Punk has been on the verge of going to the next level for months and Jericho should help him get there. Bet CM Punk.

The Undertaker (-900) vs. Triple H (+500): The Undertaker is undefeated at Wrestlemania while Triple H is trying to beat him for the second straight year. This match is being billed as an “end of an era” match. Does that mean that Undertaker’s streak is coming to an end? If there is anyone who could do that, it’d be the owner’s daughter’s husband. that being said, I’m not betting against the streak.

John Cena (-200) vs. The Rock (+150): Would The Rock really come back to lose? Would WWE really have their biggest star lose to a movie star? These are the real questions going on in this match and it’s hard to guess which way things will go. This has been billed as “Once in a Lifetime” and if that is truly the case (which we have no reason to believe it won’t be) then it has to be Cena getting the win. Bet John Cena because The Rock is never coming back.
