WWE’s biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania, is upon us and with it comes betting odds. This event has become so big over the years that more and more sports books are starting to offer betting odds and this year is no exception. This is a big event featuring the big rematch between The Rock and John Cena. Last year set all kinds of records for WWE and they are looking to top that with this year’s show from New York/New Jersey.

The show is headlined by the rematch between John Cena and The Rock and bookmakers currently see John Cena as a big favorite to get a win back and it’s hard to argue with that logic. The other big matches are Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar, Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger and The Undertaker looking to continue his undefeated Wrestlemania streak against CM Punk. It should be a good show and the card is packed with good matches.

Wrestlemania 29 Betting Tips & Analysis:

As you can see there are a few big favorites on this card which could be a way to make some big money on this event. Let’s take a closer look at the odds and add our in-depth analysis.

Fandango (-550) vs. Chris Jericho (+325): The first match on our list is an interesting one. A year ago Chris Jericho was challenging for the WWE title against CM Punk and now he’s going against a new wrestler who dances. What a difference a year makes in WWE, eh? It’s hard to bet Fandango here as the odds are overwhelmingly in his favor, but at the same time Jericho’s role seems to be to “make guys look good” whenever he comes back so I can’t justify the risk of betting him either. Skip this one.
Team Hell No (-130) vs. Ziggler & Langston (-110): Team Hell No has been absolutely carrying the WWE for the past year in the entertainment department. They took something that was meant to be a joke and build it into something that really captured the audience’s imagination. This night will be their crowning achievement and their reward for a job well done. Bet big on Team Hell No.
The Miz (-400) vs Wade Barrett (+250): The Miz has fallen on hard times over the past couple of years, but he seems to be bouncing back. This match is basically filler on this show without a lot of story behind it. The Miz has a surprisingly great Wrestlemania record so I guess I’m going with him. Not at -400 though.

Ryback (-800) vs. Mark Henry (+425): FEED ME MORE! FEED ME MORE! FEED ME MORE! If Ryback doesn’t win this, I will eat my hat.

The Shield (-700) vs. Randy Orton, Sheamus & Big Show (+400): On paper, the good guy team seems like a good bet here, but that’s before you take into account that Big Show and Randy Orton could turn into a bad guy at any moment. I just don’t trust them and I still believe in the Shield.

Alberto Del Rio (-400) vs Jack Swagger (+250): Del Rio is a mortal lock here and you should grab him at this price before it gets ridiculous. There is no way that WWE is going to have Jack Swagger go around being racist to Mexicans for months and then have him defeat a Mexican at the biggest show of the year. That would be a PR nightmare and that’s why I’m betting on Del Rio.

Triple H (-450) vs. Brock Lesnar (+250): Is Triple H really a hero that needs to come back and get his revenge? He’s basically the worst guy in WWE history and I’m just not buying him as a conquering hero here. With the type of money that Brock gets paid it makes a lot more sense for him to retire Triple H here with another broken arm. Bet Brock Lesnar.

The Undertaker (-1600) vs. CM Punk (+700): Death. Taxes. The Undertaker at Wrestlemania.

John Cena (-850) vs The Rock (+450): John Cena is winning this match. There is no chance he doesn’t. The Rock isn’t taking the title to Hollywood, The Rock is not going to wrestle at Extreme Rules and Cena isn’t losing twice to the same guy at two straight Wrestlemanias. Bet Cena if you have an extra $800 to risk.
