WWE Crown Jewel 2025 Betting Odds: Seth Rollins vs Cody Rhodes

For the second straight year, WWE heads down under for one of its marquee Premium Live Events. This Month, Crown Jewel emanates from the stunning Optus Stadium in Perth with a blockbuster champion vs champion match set to main event between WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Fireworks are to be expected.

Last February, the professional wrestling giant hosted Elimination Chamber in the same stadium, with homegrown hero Rhea Ripley main eventing in a successful Women’s World Title defence against Nia Jax. On the same night, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins stood side by side on the Grayson Waller Effect as they geared up for their impending clash with Roman Reigns and The Rock at WrestleMania 40. This time around, the former friends will stand opposite each other as they go head-to-head in a crunch clash that could define the next few years of WWE programming.

Rollins Favored to Secure Rhodes Redemption

The last time Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes shared a ring together, they were combining to end Roman Reigns’ record-setting 1,316-day reign as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at WrestleMania 40. Fast forward a year, and the Visionary was shockingly turning heel at ‘Mania 41, joining forces with the slimy Paul Heyman to defeat the aforementioned Reigns and long-term adversary CM Punk to emerge as WWE’s top heel.

His subsequent Money in the Bank cash-in at Summerslam secured him World Heavyweight gold and a spot opposite ally turned enemy Rhodes in the main event of Crown Jewel to determine the Crown Jewel Champion. If that wasn’t enough, online betting sites are expected to make him the favorite to leave the Land Down Under as the main man in WWE.

With the contest still being weeks away, the popular Bovada betting site hasn’t yet released its odds for the huge clash, but they are expected in the coming days. That has left wrestling fans and punters alike eagerly awaiting the opportunity to place their bets, and when the chance arrives, the Visionary is expected to be confirmed as a short-priced 1/4 favorite, with the American Nightmare expected to be out at 5/2.

Cody’s Unblemished Record

Such pricing could come as a shock to the WWE Universe, especially when one considers Cody’s unbeaten record against Rollins since his WWE return. Rhodes made his triumphant return to the big W at Wrestlemania 38 back in 2022, emerging as a surprise opponent for a somewhat directionless Rollins. It was the American Nightmare who emerged victorious, and the two would square off in two further Premium Live Events in arguably the best rivalry of 2022.

On all three occasions, however, it was Rhodes who emerged victorious. He secured the roll-up victory in the pair’s immediate rematch at Backlash shortly after Mania. Then, the two would face off in a Hell in a Cell grudge match, with the American Nightmare suffering a legitimate pectoral tear in the days leading up to the match. Cody would still wrestle in the main event, against doctors’ orders, and beat Rollins for a third straight time.

Since then, however, things have changed drastically.

The Vision Factor

Fast forward to 2025, and Seth Rollins is arguably more powerful than ever before. His shocking alignment with Paul Heyman at WrestleMania – with the oracle low-blowing both Roman Reigns and CM Punk to hand new ally Rollins the victory – has catapulted the Visionary to top heel status. The new power pair then brought in the muscle in the form of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, a duo that has run roughshod over Monday Night Raw ever since their link-up.

Reigns, Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso have all been dismantled by the Vision in recent weeks, and Breakker and Reed’s potential involvement in the Crown Jewel main event could spell bad news for Cody. Should they make their way to the ring, the American Nightmare could well end up suffering from an Australian nightmare as he looks to fend off an insurmountable 3 v 1 assault. With that being said, however, he may well find allies of an unlikely source.

Reigns Return Spells Bad News for Rollins

Cody isn’t the only one with his sights firmly set on Seth Rollins. Ever since Heyman’s betrayal at Mania, Reigns has had Rollins in his crosshairs. Unfortunately for him, he hasn’t yet managed to get his hands on the Visionary, instead running into the World Heavyweight Champion’s two heavyweight henchmen. The OTC beat Bronson Reed at Clash in Paris at the end of August, before being brutalized post-match by both Reed and Breakker, leaving the arena on a stretcher.

On the September 29th episode of Monday Night Raw, Reigns made his triumphant return, flattening both of his attackers, as well as reuniting with his former Bloodline stablemates Jey and Jimmy Uso. The seeds are being sewn of a return to the trio’s heel ways, ways that culminated in Reigns embarking on the greatest world title reign in history. Should Breakker and Reed emerge to brutalize Cody, the American Nightmare could well have his former Bloodline adversaries emerge as his backup. That could spell bad news for any Rollins backers.
