WWE Day 1 2022 Betting Tips

WWE Day 1 will take place Saturday night, January 1st 2022.

It is headlined via Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar Part XI or at least it feels like that.

We’ve also got Big E defending his title against Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and Bobby Lashley.

Edge vs The Miz, The Usos vs New Day. Should be a decent enough card.

Let’s check out the odds:

WWE Day 1 Betting Odds:

  • Edge (-250) vs The Miz (+200)
  • Big E (-165) vs Seth Rollins (+350) vs Bobby Lashley (+350) vs Kevin Owens (+450)

  • RK-Bro (-770) vs Street Profits (+400)
  • Drew McIntyre (-1000) vs Madcap Moss (+500)

WWE Day 1 Betting Tips:

Edge vs The Miz:

I remember when I had a mantra here of “always bet on Miz”. Edge is very well protected so you would expect him to go over but they’re also leading to a mixed tag team match with Edge and Beth versus The Miz and Maryse. Does Maryse help Miz get the win? Well worth betting The Miz to win for 1/4u.

Big E vs Seth Rollins vs Bobby Lashley vs Kevin Owens:

Rollins of course had COVID last week. We’ll find out pretty much as the match starts if he is even performing. Seth was initially looking to be the guy who would become the next champ but not sure this is the time for it. Then you have Owens who just signed a new contract which indicates a push. Then you have Lashley because I can legitimately seeing WWE not wanting to have one POC lose to someone who isn’t a POC.

I’m going to do a 1/4u bet on Big E to loseBecky Lynchs vs Liv Morgan:

Liv is the flavour of the month. I’ve seen people try to fantasy book her to win here. I just can’t see it.

RK-Bro vs Street Profits:

I’m sure RK-Bro will lose and split up at some point. I guess Street Profits have been booked strong coming into this one with wins over the Mysterios, AJ Styles & Omos, and Gable and Otis. I don’t hate the bet – but it just feels too soon for these guys to split if they’re going to match them up at Mania.

Drew McIntyre vs Madcap Moss:

On paper, it seems like Drew wipes the floor with Madcap. I actually don’t hate a bet on Madcap winning here via shenanigans just to lead to Drew vs Corbin at the Rumble. It’s not one I am going to make personally but at +500 it might be worth a gamble.

The Usos vs The New Day:

At +170 The New Day do seem tempting. Especially if Reigns loses the title – having them all lose the titles would be something. Whoever wins or loses doesn’t really matter. I’m fine with 1/4u on The New Day.

Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar:

It’s very possible Heyman screws Lesnar here and it’s all one big plan with Reigns. It’s also hard seeing Roman losing the title still. In saying that – Lesnar did lose the first matchup between the two. This one is meant to lead to headlining Wrestlemania. Then you have Roman and potential health concerns. Basically there is enough here to say 1/4u on Lesnar to win at +150 is an okay bet.
