AEW Revolution 2021 takes place this Sunday.

This has the potential to be the PPV of the year. TO say I am pumped for it would be an understatement. The casino tag royale sounds fun as all hell. The ladder match going to be amazing. Hangman vs Matt. Bucks vs Jericho/MJF. Allin and Sting! Shida vs Mizunami!

Then we have the freaking main event Mox vs Omega. Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch. Why the heck not?

Going to be a great card. Not all the odds are out yet but the key matches we have odds.

Let’s look at the odds for this show:

AEW Revolution 2021 Betting Odds:

  • “Hangman” Adam Page (-350) vs Matt Hardy (+250)
  • Darby Allin & Sting (-450) vs Brian Cage/Ricky Starks (+400)
  • Kenny Omega (-550) vs Jon Moxley (+325)
  • Best Friends (-160) vs Miro & Kip (+120)
  • The Young Bucks (-250) vs Chris Jericho/MJF (+200)
  • Face of the Revolution: Cody (+175) vs Mystery Participant (+225) vs Scorpio Sky (+225) vs Lance Archer (+600) vs Penta (+600) vs Max Caster (+1400)
  • Hikaru Shida (-155) vs Ryo Mizunami (+110)

AEW Revolution 2021 Betting Tips:

First up let’s tackle the easy one – Omega vs Mox. It’s too soon for Omega to lose the title I’d say. Mox will be having a kid at some point etc. It’s a great way for Mox to lose without losing any credibility. To be honest the whole maternity thing I don’t think is a big deal – wrestling is in Mox’s blood.

Bucks vs Jericho/MJF is opening the show. Can’t see Matt and Nick losing either. I just feel like they are a team and as a tag team, they should beat two singles stars. Inner Circle do get a lot of TV time but it always seems to be about the dissention between the entire stable. So I think we see that story progress with the Bucks retaining.

Speaking of tag teams – Best Friends to lose is the bet I like. I mean it’s not even a proper team. Miro and Kip shouldn’t be on the losing side right now. Orange Cassidy and Chuck can eat the loss. I could see OC & Chuck winning of course in retribution for everything including the injury to Trent – but I think going forward on AEW, Miro and Kip jneed the win more. 1/2u on Miro & Kip at +120.

Honestly I think Team Taz need a win to gain some credibility. Problem is it’s Sting and Allin – they are clearly giving Allin the big rub with Sting. It’s also Stings debut match. Allin is probably someone who needs to be protected right now so I expect Allin & Sting to get the win.

Finally we have Page vs Matt. Man this is a tough one. It’s one where I can totally fantasy book it in my head to have Big Money Matt winning.

But I don’t think he should be losing against a guy who is going to be carrying AEW at the top one day soon. Matt also can eat the loss as he plays more in his management role. Honestly if it wasn’t for Brodie / -1 then this one is pretty well set up for a Dark Order turn on Hangman.

A loss and losing his money could totally add to the Hangman character though. The odds I think justify a small 1/4u play on Matt Hardy to win although I will not be surprised if he loses.

It’s time to get the belt off Shida but I am not sure Mizunami is the right one for it. Not enough value to bet on it.

I also cover the ladder match only on the Going Over: Bet Wrestling Podcast.
