NJPW G1 Climax 30: Nights 11 & 12 Betting Odds & Tips

Night 9 and 10 are over with in the G1 Climax and they were a tad underwhelming.

I was particularly disappointed with Ibushi vs Ospreay. I was really pumped for that one honestly. Then they spent half the match looking like they had never met each other with zero chemistry whatsoever and a couple of ugly spots. Then as soon as it got going….it was done.

I saw people giving that one as high as 4.5 stars out of 5 and um yeah – people are absolutely nuts.

Both nights from a wrestling standpoint were quite weak.

Betting wise we never got our speculative bet on the time limit draw. I did call the +300 Cobb beating Jay White as an upset on Night 9. Alas I did not advise a bet on it.

It was break-even on Night 10. Lost with the Yoshi-Hashi upset but regained that with the Tanahashi win.

Here’s Night 11 & 12 Betting Odds & Tips:

NJPW G1 Climax Night 11 Betting Odds:

  • Jay White (-500) vs Taichi (+300)
  • Kota Ibushi (-155) vs Shingo Takagi (+110)
  • Tomohiro Ishii (-295) vs Yujiro Takahashi (+200)
  • Kazuchika Okada (-345) vs Jeff Cobb (+225)
  • Will Ospreay (-230) vs Minoru Suzuki (+160)

NJPW G1 Climax Night 11 Betting Tips:

Here are the current NJPW G1 Climax Block A Standings:

  1. Ibushi: 8
  2. Ospreay, Suzuki, Taichi, White, Okada: 6
  3. Cobb, Ishii, Takagi: 4
  4. Takahashi: 0

Ibushi faces Takaga for the first ever time here which is crazy. I think Ibushi keeps the pressure on the crew in 2nd place and am happy go 1/2u on Ibushi to win.

Have to think White wins. No bet at those odds.

Ospreay vs Suzuki – this is the first time they have met in singles action. I like Ospreay to be rehabbed after the loss to Ibushi and get the win. At -230 it is not worth the bet.

The worst is letting personal feelings impact betting. Okada is really missing a step workrate wise and Cobb has picked it up the last couple of matches. I’d love to see Cobb win here. However you have to think long term booking sees Okada win. This would be massive for Cobb but I think we will see some big power moves and then Okada will get the sneak win.

Takahashi is the whipping boy however a win here against Ishii would be really fitting for him. Especially considering the 2014 NEVER Openweight championship win. Ishii has been awesome though and I’m hoping they keep the Stone Pitbull strong and in the running. No bet.

NJPW G1 Climax Night 12 Betting Odds:

  • Tetsuya Naito (-155) vs Juice Robinson (+110)
  • EVIL (-200) vs Hiroshi Tanahashi (+140)
  • Hirooki Goto (-130) vs Yoshi-Hashi (+100)
  • Zack Sabre Jr. (-200) vs Toru Yano (+140)
  • SANADA (-295) vs KENTA (+200)

NJPW G1 Climax Night 12 Betting Tips:

Here are the current NJPW G1 Climax Block B Standings:

  1. Naito: 8
  2. EVIL, Robinson, Tanahashi, Yano: 6
  3. Goto, KENTA, SANADA, ZSJ: 4
  4. Yoshi-Hashi: 2

Tanahashi has a perfect G1 record over EVIL. Hell EVIL only has the one victory total over him. I feel like EVIL has to lose one to get him even with SANADA and looking at the rest of his opponents – it could be this one. Because next out he faces Naito and I think he wins there. I’m going to do 1/4u on Tanahashi to win.

SANADA should win based on my long term theory. No bet.

Naito has to lose one somewhere I think. However I have him penciled in as losing to EVIL. I like him to beat Juice here. Odds are nice. 1/2u on Naito to beat Juice Robinson.

What’s the odds that with both involved in the fastest matches, Yano and ZSJ go broadway? Man that would be amazing. It wouldn’t surprise me if Yano loses out now. No bet at those odds but ZSJ should take it.

Goto is 1-0 over Yoshi in the G1 Climax and I have a slight feeling Yoshi evens it up and 1/4u on Yoshi Hashi sounds good ot me.
