NJPW G1 Climax 30: Nights 7 & 8 Betting Tips

Whew – no rest for the wicked.

Night 6 of the NJPW G1 Climax occured today and we’ve already got Night 7 and Night 8 to look forward to. Night 7 takes place tomorrow, September 30th with Night 8 on October 1st.

Then at least we have a couple of day break before the next one which is nice. I mean don’t get me wrong I love starting my day with the G1 but nice to have a wee break to breathe.

So in this post I will cover Night 7 and Night 8 betting tips. It’s been a pretty profitable tims thus far and I am feeling better about my betting tips – I feel like I can bet with more confidence as we’re starting to see the booking taking place.

SANADA losing to a +500 underdog may have been a surprise to some for example – but he runs the board after this and faces EVIL? Perfect.

Let’s get to it:

NJPW G1 Climax Night 7 Betting Odds:

  • Will Ospreay (-139) vs Jay White (+100)
  • Tomohiro Ishii (-106) vs Shingo Takagi (-134)
  • Minoru Suzuki (-500) vs Yujiro Takahashi (+300)
  • Kota Ibushi (-400) vs Jeff Cobb (+250)
  • Kazuchika Okada (-1000) vs Taichi (+500)

NJPW G1 Climax Night 7 Betting Tips:

Jay White is currently 3-0 in the Jay-1 and Ospreay is 2-1. A big change from this time last year when Switchblade was 0-3. I’m loving White right now however I think we see something similar to last year except the opposite. I am doing 1/2u on Ospreay to win.

Ishii 9s 0-3 and really needs a win at this point doesn’t he? Takagi picked up the massive win over Ospreay to get the points and I think it’s time for Ishii to get on the board. 1/2u on Ishii to win.

I can’t see Okada losing.

Ibushi and Cobb face off for the first time. I wouldn’t be surprised if Cobb wins and that means +250 line has value but I have been disappointed with his work here. I think Ibushi takes it.

In the final match, the 0-3 Takahashi goes up against Minoru Suzuki. Goddamn Suzuki – what a year he is having. However in this very venue, Takahashi pulled off the shock by beating Ishii and becoming the NEVER Openweight Champion. I could see them booking him to beat the current champ in the same place. I think Suzuki will win, but Takahashi is worth a 1/4u bet.

NJPW G1 Climax Night 8 Betting Odds:

  • SANADA (-250) vs Tetsuya Naito (+175)
  • EVIL (-190) vs KENTA (+134)
  • Juice Robinson (-190) vs Toru Yano (+134)
  • Zack Sabre Jr. (-139) vs Hirooki Goto (+100)
  • Hiroshi Tanahashi (-625) vs Yoshi Hashi (+350)

NJPW G1 Climax Night 8 Betting Tips:

Look I don’t normally bet at those odds but I think SANADA 0-3 streak ends here and he runs the board to set up EVIL. This could be a tough loss but I gotta go with it – 1u on SANADA.

Speaking of – i think EVIL returns the favour and beats KENTA from last year. 1/2u on EVIL to win. I hate KENTA so if he wins I will doubly hate him.

It won’t surprise me if Yoshi-Hashi picks up the win here but with the big bet on SANADA I don’t want to risk too much on this night. I do think this one is close to a coin flip though. Ah screw it – 1/4u on Yoshi-Hashi.

No bet in the ZSJ match. Nor the Juice vs Yano match. Juice has overcome him every time and I think it’s likely he is able to keep that going. Man I hope he doesn’t – I’ll be rooting for Yano. However that story is enough to keep me off him.
