WWE Money In The Bank 2014 Betting Tips

Boston, Mass is the home of the 2014 WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view and it should be a good one. Over the years the Money in the Bank pay-per-view and match have grown to rival the Royal Rumble in terms of intrigue among WWE fans. The winner of the Money in the Bank match is often set in stone as the next major superstar in WWE as they are nearly guaranteed a run with the World Heavyweight title. Of course, there are always exceptions but with a strong group of young up-and-coming wrestlers this looks like a year where we could see some major changes in the card.

Of course, there isn’t just the Money in the Bank match. This year, thanks to Daniel Bryan’s unfortunate injury, we will see a second ladder match for the World Heavyweight championship. John Cena is a heavy favorite here, but there are a lot of intriguing options in the match that could change the face of WWE.
As of now there are only two matches announce on the undercard in Paige vs. Naomi and The Usos vs. The Wyatts. In the tag title match the challengers are actually favored which I personally found surprising.

Money In The Bank Betting Odds:

  • Paige (-170) vs. Naomi (+800)
  • Usos (+260) vs Wyatts (-380)
  • Seth Rollins (-210) vs Dean Ambrose vs Dolph Ziggler vs Kofi Kingston vs Rob Van Dam vs Jack Swagger FIELD: +160
  • John Cena (-170) vs Kane vs Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns vs Alberto Del Rio vs Sheamus vs Bray Wyatt vs Cesaro FIELD (+130)

As of now individual odds are not available for any ladder match participants outside of John Cena and Seth Rollins. We’ll update if those numbers become available, but we will analyze the lines as they are currently set and give our best bets below.

Money In The Bank Betting Tips & Analysis:

Paige (-1700) vs. Naomi (+800): The odds for Naomi are pretty tempting, but I just can’t see it. Paige is clearly the future of the WWE Divas division and I fully expect her to retain here on her way to a long title reign. Leave this one alone.

Usos (+260) vs Wyatts (-380): A bit of surprise here as the Usos are super popular with fans and one of the top draws in WWE right now. The Wyatt family is talented, but they don’t need this win as long as they are with Bray. I fully expect the Usos to retain the title here and continue their ascent up the card. Bet Usos to win.

Seth Rollins (-210) vs Dean Ambrose vs Dolph Ziggler vs Kofi Kingston vs Rob Van Dam vs Jack Swagger FIELD: +160: In the post-Shield world it definitely seems like WWE is putting a lot of faith in him to carry the company in the future so him being the favorite here is no surprise. If we’re being completely honest the only other person who really has a good chance of winning this besides Seth is probably Dean Ambrose. (Maybe Dolph Ziggler too, but based on how things currently sit I think it’s between Seth and Dean.) While Roman Reigns has entered the main event scene and Seth Rollins has joined the Authority, Dean Ambrose is the only member of the Shield without a clear direction. For that reason, I think Dean Ambrose is going to get the upset here. He needs a direction and a storyline going forward in a way that Seth Rollins doesn’t. Bet the field or Dean Ambrose solo if you can.

John Cena (-170) vs Kane vs Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns vs Alberto Del Rio vs Sheamus vs Bray Wyatt vs Cesaro FIELD (+130) This is a real great opportunity for WWE to crown a fresh champion. Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns or even Sheamus would be a shake-up on the top of the card that WWE really needs right now. Of course, that means they won’t do it. If Daniel Bryan isn’t around I fully expect WWE to go right back to John Cena because that’s what they always do. Bet John Cena.

Money In The Bank Betting Picks:

As of now this is only a four match card, but those four matches hold a lot of intrigue. While the ladder matches have heavy favorites that is in no means set in stone as the WWE is prone to change their mind simply to surprise people. Our best bets for this event are:

  1. Usos
  2. The FIELD in Money in the Bank match
  3. John Cena
