WWE Survivor Series 2014 Betting Tips

Survivor Series is one of the original WWE pay-per-view events and one of my personal favorites. This year is especially good because they are returning to the traditional Survivor Series match in the main event and it actually has high stakes. If the Authority wins, Team Cena is fired. If Team Cena wins, the Triple H & Stephanie are fired. Either decision feels plausible and that shows in the betting odds.

The other big match is Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt. These are two of the best young stars in wrestling today and on paper they match-up very well. This could be a great match that could go either way as the odds indicate. In fact, at the moment there are no huge favorites or underdogs at this pay-per-view which makes it a potentially exciting betting event. I’m excited.

WWE Survivor Series Betting Tips & Analysis:

Team Authority (-120) vs. Team Cena (-120): There are so many ways this match could go that it’s hard to get a clear read on the winner. On the one hand, The Authority losing feels like a much needed shake-up. The bad guys have been in charge for too long and it feels like a good time for a change. On the other hand, it’s been said that John Cena won’t be fired just his teammates so that is clearly a recipe for some shennanigans. Could his own team turn on him? Team Authority could win, but finding a creative way to bring back three fired wrestlers seems like a tall task. Plus, it really is time for a change in authority in WWE. Bet Team Cena.

AJ (-105) vs. Nikki Bella (-135): This is more of a match-up between backstage rumors than wrestlers. You have AJ who is constantly rumored to be joining her husband in the unemployment line and Nikki Bella who is apart of Total Divas who supposedly aren’t allowed to win the title. I only believe one of those rumors so that’s why I’m betting on AJ to retain the title.

Dean Ambrose (-150) vs. Bray Watt (+110): This match could absolutely steal the show if given the chance as both guys are ready to prove themselves as the next big main eventers in WWE. Ambrose had a brief run as the most popular guy in the company over the summer and he did well with it. While Bray Wyatt has struggled a bit to find himself since distancing himself from the family. Both guys need to look strong here, but this is a story that has the potential to go for months. The bad guy always wins in the first chapter. Bet on Bray Wyatt.

Team Fox (-120) vs. Team Paige (-120): Surprising odds here as of all of the wrestlers in the match Paige is the only one who has had any sort of real success in the past year. You’d think this is here match to lose as she is the only true “superstar” in the match. Seems like an easy one to me. Bet Team Paige -120.

Gold & Stardust (-110) vs. Miz & Mizdow (+150) vs. Usos (+180) vs. Los Matadores (+300): Based off of how these teams have been portrayed on television there are only two possible winners: The Usos and Miz & Mizdow. Los Matadores are basically a jobber tag team and it feels like WWE doesn’t have any real faith in Goldust & Stardust. The Usos have been in the tag title scene since The Shield was together and they definitely need a new opponent. That’s why I’m taking Miz & Mizdow to win in an upset.
